Volunteer with HLSA and Bay Area Rescue Mission to serve meals to the homeless and the hungry from our community
The Harvard Law School Alumni Association of Northern California is honored to support the Bay Area Rescue Mission, a vital service provider aiding the homeless in the greater Bay Area since 1965.

Meal preparation for the Mission’s guests during the Daily Meal Service! With your help the
Mission can serve up to 1,000 meals daily to the homeless, hungry and needy of our
community. Volunteer assignments include assisting with the preparation, set-up, serving, and
clean-up for each meal time.
Orientation is mandatory and can be completed on the day of the event, but you must arrive at the location by 11:00 am.
Additional Instructions:
Volunteers must be 12 years or older.
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops).
Avoid wearing jewelry.
Short-or-long-sleeved shirts or blouses are required (no sleeveless attire).
Please refrain from wearing shorts or skirts; long pants only.
A hair net will be provided. Aprons and gloves will be provided.
Please RSVP for every volunteer in your party.
You are invited for holiday drinks & bites hosted by HLSA at a nearby bar after service!
